About
My name is Adriano Losso. I grew up in the beautiful Dolomites (Belluno, Italy) and I have always had a great attraction towards wildlife and nature. That's why photography embedded so well with my passions. On this website, you can see selected images from my favorite themes: small critters (Macro), birds and mammals (Wild), and outdoor sports (Heights). Professionally, I’m a researcher in plant ecophysiology, currently based in Innsbruck, Austria, with over twenty peer-reviewed scientific publications (link). My main focus is on the survival strategies of trees living in harsh environments (e.g. conifers growing at the alpine treeline, mangroves in intertidal zones), as well as on the drought vulnerability of native trees.
